I am quickly becoming interested in the Porta Bote idea. The picture of it stowed on the forward lifelines really sold me. I will start checking those out immediately.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm planning to be back in the Puget Sound by early September so I think I should be OK. I've been watching and studying he weather patterns... it definitely gets rough but I've allowed plenty of time to hike, camp and explore while waiting for weather windows.

40 miles of open water that regularly dips below 20 feet at low tide does a lot of interesting and insane things.
