Yanmar Mechanic Recommendation - Annapolis Area

As the new owner of a 1988 IP31 I have a list of items found from the survey for the engine, a Yanmar 3GM30F. While most I can handle myself a few I would like to have a professional do the first time - especially the suggested removal of modfications that are causing engine issues.
Example of items:
- The current fuel filter is not USCG certified for use in an enclosed space, is installed upside down and have the fuel lines.
- The ignition switch is in need to replacement as it does not turn ON every time. The starter motor will not engage every time. It appears that the starter has been replaced at some point but it still does not operate every time.
-The sea water pump appears to be leaking and will need to be replaced. The front of the engine is heavy with corrosion. This should be cleaned and repainted.
-The engine coolant hoses are used beyond their useful limits and should be replaced. .
- Sea water suction is through a ball cock with a sea water strainer. The suction hoses and clamps are the wrong type and are in poor condition. There is a winterize hose without a cap on it.

-- and more..

If you have worked with someone around the Annapolis/Tracey's landing area you would vouch for (OK - or against), please send me their way (or away from them if need be).

I have used and would highly recommend Chris Oliver, Jr. He and his father (marine engine surveys) are highly respected in the Annapolis area.

Hi Keefa:

We had Chris Oliver work on our boat and he is the real deal. Use him before anyone else.

Stay away from Conlyn Marine! I have been burnt twice by them...never again. I have heard good things about Oliver.

I have done the work on S/V "Black Squirrel"

I did a personalized (laminated)startup/shutdown list for them.
[suitable for framing] after I completed the "surveyors's list"

I won't comment on the "surveyor".........
