Usually, when we read reports about customer service
, especially from nation companies, they are complains about how bad it was.
I’d like to report an opposite experience with Raymarine
A while back I bought one of their high definition color radars, and had the not-so-bright idea of mounting a lightweight TV antennas on top of the dome. I thought I had completely sealed the three small holes, but evidently over time water
must have seeped through and stopped the radar
. So I sent it back to Raymarine
Within days I received a very detailed report from Kevin Linehan, repair department, along with six photographs showing water
damage and rust.
I had to accept it was my fault, but they significantly reduced the normal repair cost, and it came back with a new lid and also the e-7 display fully updated with software
All this took three weeks, including the shipping
time, which I confess I didn’t expect. Well done Raymarine .
