12 volt track lighting

Has anyone ever come across track lighting for boats? I am looking for a simple track lighting system that is 12 volts and therefore without the necessity of a transformer?

or....

has anyone hooked up a track lighting system, 12 volts, with a transformer from on board 120 volts?

Many thanks

Have you seen the thread in multihulls talking about LED lights? Apparently there is at least one source for LED track lights listed there.

hello to all
I am trying to put in 12 volt track lighting. I am being told now that its simpler than one thinks....simply buy a 110 volt track with no transformer and hook it up to 12 volt boat DC and then put in 12 volt Bulbs and it will operate on the boats DC 12 volts.

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated

120V Track & Fixtures c/w 12V Lamps will work fine on 12V supply.
Why track lighting?
