Buenos Aires for Cruisers - Metropolis with a Heart

Hi everyone,
I just wrote a new post about the city of Buenos Aires and everything you can do there in one or two days.
It is one of my favorite places in the world, after all!

Buenos aires for cruisers

If you are in the area, it will take little time to sail over to Montevideo:

Enjoy my region. It is quiet, fun, affordable, beautiful, and bustling with cultural life!

Well done Veronica,

I fully concur with both cities as excellent destinations...I have an office in BA. Excellent city to visit and has a bit of Paris, London and Rome feel thrown in. However, a rather long way to sail.

Notwithstanding that...I have always felt that CF has within its collective membership a veritable unlimited fount of personal and local knowledge which deserves a special section in the Forum, to enable easy access and dissemination to those interested in those locations. Normally when a question is asked about a country or specific landfall it can often dimidiate quite quickly into opposite for and against camps.

There are members as shown by Veronica, interested I believe, in presenting a viewpoint which is informative and useful and I do wish the CF could find a way of incorporating and disseminating these personally acquired experiences. With a specific section we could use and access them more effectively.

Regards

Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your message.
I believe you are right.
As a former cruise ship employee I have a lot of insider´s details about ports where I made friends and visited over and over again.

It would be nice to have a section to post this kind of info.
I hate touristy stuff, group tours, etc, so I LOVE helping people find what is actually AUTHENTIC about a place.

Best to you!

We have been to both Argentina and Uruguay.

What an absolutely wonderful place to visit. The wine is great, the beer is good, and the beef... insane. It's also a very inexpensive place to live.
