Ipad2 verses Ipad3

I have both
Ipad2 one year
Ipad3 one month
both 64gb & 3/4G

both are used on the same network
& location. (no 4G coverage in OZ)

My experience finds the 3 to have
a weaker signal strength by one bar
with 10-20% slower speed of data.

I can't see any difference between
processor speed of either.

To my eyes the screen is better,
but not enough to really matter.

The new 3 is significantly more
power hungry, even at medium to
low brightness levels;
approx 2 HOURS less life
than the 2.

my choice now !

BATTERY LIFE
2 hrs makes a big difference to me.

not till I see if the
IPAD 4 is any better ???

Cool, i have 1&2 and did not see any real advantage in buying a 3 and this confirms what i thought

The iPad3 with 4G makes a big difference in speed, which is what I need.
Mine is using the GPS when sailing, so it is always plugged in and power is not an issue with 430 watts of solar.

By the time we get real 4G coverage in Australia we will be talking about the ipad 9

I have both. The 3 is an improvement over the 2, with the exception of power draw. Ugh. I have to plug the 3 in all of the time.
