A Timid Toe in Blue Water

need advice from west coast sailors/cruisers....when i finally finish my home built live aboard i plan/dream on a shake down voyage of +/- 600 mi westward off the southern california coast. want to stay out of the way of heavy shipping traffic....any feed back more than welcome. ...have been mostly a fresh water sailor with limited ocean experience.

Re: a timid toe in blue water

ok you are in sd..... first, sail sd bay. then go off point loma, fcarefully watching for zuniga jetty. you do NOT want to cross it.
go out and play for a while. sail around the los coronados, come back. sail to ensenada then come back.

then sail to ensenada and dont go back.........

Welcome to the forum.

Tell us a bit about the boat you've built.
Always a big undertaking and many here would love to know more.
