Blue Water

Hey everyone I'm looking at trying to get a blue water sailboat but I'm not sure what which kind would be better is there any thing that I could get for about $15,000. Please give me ideas and thoughts.

15k for a blue water sailboat. ok.
there is a 1968 or 1969 cal 30 in san diego guy only wants 6k for it--has a full keel and is sweet sailing boat.
i got my formosa for 10 k but those deals are rare..there is one in hawaii for 10k, but that is in hawaii. there is a formosa or ct 41 in long beach for 30 k. that is actually a very low price for these boats in decent shape.
good luck finding anything but project boat for under 15k. keep eyes open, anything is possible.
