Waterway Guide Releases Four 2013 Editions

All CF members can get 20% off all Waterway Guides and Skipper Bob Guides from our online store by joining the Waterway Guide Cruising Club for free. Membership also gives you discounts on fuel, dockage, goods and services at 100s of participating marinas...and the number is growing fast!
Waterway Guide has announced the release of the first four editions of their 2013 cruising guides. The Chesapeake Bay, Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, Southern, and Bahamas editions made their debut at the Baltimore Trawler Fest and SSCA Annapolis Gam, and will be available at the Annapolis Sailboat Show and Annapolis Powerboat Show. Their release is perfectly timed for the thousands of boaters who are heading south for the winter.
"We are very excited to present these four guides right before the busy fall cruising season," said Jack Dozier, Waterway Guide's Publisher. "It has been customary to make sure these cruisers have the most up-to-date resource available. These highly detailed and comprehensive guides provide mile-by-mile coverage of the waterways between Cape May, New Jersey and Brownsville, Texas, as well as the entire Bahamas, Turks, and Caicos Islands," Dozier added.

These guides provide navigational updates, valuable information on nearly 1,500 marinas and boatyards, and in-depth coverage of popular coastal towns, allowing cruisers to make informed decisions about their next stop.
Waterway Guide is the only publication of its kind that is updated annually by experienced on-the-water cruising editors. "Each year, we strive to make our guides more informative and easier to use," explained Editor Jani Parker. "There are literally thousands of updates from year to year."
For example, partnering with Wavey Line Publishing, the 2013 Bahamas edition features more robust, up-to-date Wavey Line Charts. These chartlets are dispersed throughout the book making it easier for boaters to identify the location of marinas and featured "must-see" attractions.
It's not just marinas and boatyards that benefit from Waterway Guides' coverage, but entire municipalities. The books are popular with boaters because of their detailed and useful information about the history, attractions, and resources of various locales they plan to visit.
Retailing for $39.95, the guides are available from the Waterway Guide web site at www.WaterwayGuide.com and from marine stores and booksellers up and down the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts. While on the Waterway Guide website, check out all the latest cruising news, navigational updates, fuel reports and other such resources. While there, explore our Cruising Club Partners and Marina Close-Ups or join in a conversation on our discussion board. Stop by and visit us at the Annapolis Sailboat Show at booth A25 on October 4-8 and the Annapolis Powerboat Show at booth A25 on October 11-14.

Love your guides - very comprehensive and incredibly useful, for us especially when hopping the US coast and needing to figure out the best port to come in before the weather starts.

Does your Southern guide still include relevant bits of ICW or it's been fully moved to its own ICW book?

Thanks for the great product!

Re: Waterway Guide Releases Four 2013 Editions

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy them and find them helpful. The ICW Edition covers the ICW only from Norfolk to Fernandina Beach, FL. The Southern Guide covers the Atlantic ICW from the Florida/Georgia line through the Keys, including a section on Inlets, each having a chartlet and aerial photography. We're using 3 symbols to easily indicate whether the inlet is recommended for cruising boats, not recommended, or with cautions. Southern also includes the Gulf ICW and coast all the way to the TX/Mexico line. Contact me any time if you have questions...and happy cruising! --Mike Ahart, News Editor, Waterway Cruising Guide | Home
