I also have the new Truecharge 2 20 amp charger (gray). When I first installed it the remote for the original Truecharge (yellow one) did not power up, i.e. no lights, although it had worked with the old charger. Bought a new remote, still no lights or power to the remote. Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

I also found out that the remote panel for the truecharg 2 20 amp is not out yet, and the old remote with the truecharge 1 (yellow) will not work with the new unit.

The remote for the TrueCharge 2 is probably having the same manufacturing problems as the TrueCharge 2 60 amp model. I wouldn't hold my breath.

When my first TrueCharge 2 40 amp failed, I thought that it couldn't possibly be the charger. When I checked the AC line in, sure enough, it was getting juice. The charger was just inoperative.

Sometimes, I think that it is impossible to have everything working on my boat at all at the same time. It takes several months to get something working properly and at the same time something else is going bad. And I'm mostly at the dock. I can't imagine what it is like cruising where you can't just drive down to the WM or order something over the internet.

If your TrueCharge 2 is DOA, take it back if you can. If not contact Xantrex.
