Recently moved my boat to Ponce Inlet. Same issues with birds. The locals recommended colored flags like you see in a used car lot across the rigging. For $20 on Ebay and using the spare halyard, I hoisted the flags and have them along my split backstays. This has taken care of 90% of the poop. I still get an occasional issue forward which I could probably fix with more flags on the forestay, but am pleased with the result.
