Equalizing AGM Batteries

I have four Lifeline 6v batteries that I want to equalize with a Freedom 30 charger/inverter.

Have never done this before so I don't know what to expect. I asked Lifeline if it was a bad idea to start the 8 hour process, and not be there the full time keeping an eye on things. Lifeline said "no problem".

But I'd still like to hear from the experts here that being there full time is not imperative. I'd allow for ventilation, of course.
