e97 raymarine chartpoller + power consumption

Hi, Has anyone the e97 raymarine chartplotter and know how much power it would draw running a transducer for fishfinder, and the ais.

Does the more programs you run mean it uses more power and hw much battery power would you need to dedicate to the chartplotter .

cheers

I think it is 16W, ex. toys.

Passive AIS sips marginal amts of juice. A transducer uses very little power.

I bet the whole lot at full brightness will be well below 2A.

Re: e97 raymarine chartpoller + power consumption

Divide Watts by Volts and you get Amps. Some systems can be fed from either 24 or 12 Volt source and then they sip different amt of Amps in each case.

For every Amp that you consume you will have to replace more than one Amp while charging (there are some charging losses). Allow for this fact when planning your system.
