Yes the specs say that however the battery is not really a deep cycle battery

That is true, there are better (much better) batts available, but this is what he has. For now.

Re: 100W Solar Charger is Slow

That is the reason I suggested the golf cart batteries they are not expensive and they are good for house bank on a small boat

Re: 100W Solar Charger is Slow

Indeed, but surely the first action is to find out if the current batt is dead, and if so, check the charging and use to ensure the same issue does not kill the new batts if they are required.

OK what is the output of the panel 12 or 24 volt and what size of controller did you get? Hopefully a minimum of ten amp controller. When hooking everything up you must have a good battery ( able to take a charge) you hook up the battery and then the load out if used and last you hook up the panels ( was the controller a positive grounded or negative grounded it does make a difference)

Re: 100W Solar Charger is Slow

Just reread your original post the panel is for 12 volt system with a possible 6.65 amp output so you would need at least a ten amp negative ground controller ( preferably a 20 amp controller)

Re: 100W Solar Charger is Slow

The reason for the 20 amp controller is future expansion of solar
