Wanted: Volunteer Crew for Pacific Crossing. Honolulu to Saipan.

Need 2 or 3 volunteers with bluewater experience who are able to stand night watch. You should be laid back and play well with others, able to get yourself to boat and home after voyage, and willing to help with provisions. No Drugs, No Smoking.

Boat: Formosa 51. She's been unattended for last year or more, so cosmetics are poor. Last year she was hauled out and sticks were pulled. Thru-hulls were replaced, alum masts were repaired and new tangs installed. All new standing rigging. New bowsprit and roller furling. New fuel tanks. New liferaft and wind steering gear. Boat also equipped with EPIRB and satellite phone.

Depending on prep time, route may be via Majuro, Pohnpei, and Satawal. Stops dropped with later departure.

I posted to this forum last winter and had some good responses. Unfortunately couldn't get the boat work done (ran out of time and boat bucks) in time to make the passage. Had to get back to work. I'm going to attempt it again the end of March or first of April... Wish me luck. It is no fun being 3200nm from your boat!
