I am coming to New Orleans on business from Alaska this weekend and am looking for someone who's going out sailing. I'll have Saturday available if anyone wants to go out on Lake P or something. (Hoping the weather is decent during) Im somewhat of a newbie, trying to learn and have fun. -
My girlfriend and I shot this video a year and a half ago when I first got into sailing but other than ASA classes I haven't had anyone to go out with until I bought my own 18' tangerine this winter - cant wait until spring!

The 23-24 is the PHRF Mardi Gras Race Week Regatta. Finding a ride on the weekend will be pretty easy.

The best way would be to post on NOYC.org that you are available, and if that doesn't work show up at the yacht club in the morning. In an absolute worst case I can put you on one of the RC boats as a volonteer.

Current weather is 50% chance of rain, 10-12kn of wind, and flat water. So it should be a good weekend to be out on the water. Just bring foul weather gear to keep dry.
