Thank you everyone for leaving such kind messages. I am taking your advice onboard, and celebrating life with my mum.

It's a lot colder and windier here than I imagined, no wonder you guys don't do much sailing in the winter!!

Atoll, I'm gonna spend a little time plotting with workmen for my mum's house - but next week when I head down to midlands for remembrance, I might make a country tour of it... So your offer might well be appreciated!

Saucy,so sorry to hear about your Dad . Keep your chin up . That round country trip might just be the right thing for you and a way to remember your Dad .

I was surprised how much I missed my father when he went, he'd always been there, the quiet compass for my path through various temptations. I may have ignored his guidance at times but I always knew he was right.
You'll never forget him, he'll always be with you.

Awe, Saucy...I am so sorry...Not easy times by any stretch. Take care, safe travels, and you and your Mum hold on to each other tightly...Be easy with yourself, laugh and cry as needed...

Keeping you in my thoughts...
