Crew Wanted: Georgetown Exuma to Rio Dulce anytime

Heyall, this is a great sorted boat, and Im a good captain but would like crew with more experience level than mine. I have a little blue water crossing exp.
shes a 33 Glander Tavana with a new 3cyl fwc yanmar and good sails. I would be ready to leave almost anytime gonna put her up in storage on the dry there probably. john

LOL... Why..? Hurricane season is all but over.. You have a 6+ month window before you have to worry about that again. And most boats that go into Rio Dulse, stay a long time and don't leave w/ the same owner... Not trying to rain on ur parade.. Just sayin.. Wouldn't you rather be sailing in the Bahamas and south??

and , lol, its all downwind. Ive been to many of the eastern islands all through the BVI and USVI, Martinique, Curacao, Puerto Rico, DR, and most of the Bahamas. The Bahamas I will happily return to any day but being a diver I want to spend a year on the coast between mexico and san blas. Ive been to san blas, coast of columbia, cozumel, tulum, bay islands, belize... best diving is what i like the usvi etc the reefs are all dying

Did this run years ago: Acklins-Windward Passage-Jamaica-Bay Islands-Belize...and then ultimately down to Rio Dulce. Generally an easy off the wind run. Lots of odd currents between Jamaica and Bay Islands so up to date current info is important. I used Chris Parker to route that bit for me and he did an excellent job.

Check out Bayahibe in the DR. Reefs are fantastic... I am here now....And I grew up on Bahamas and USVI and BVI reefs... Going to the tip end of Samana to check out those reefs next week...

Congratulations on a great boat by the way. I've done some sailing on a Tavana 33. Certainly a fine example of a smaller mono that I would not hesitate to take offshore.

Have a friend with a Tavana 33 here on the Rio which is very nicely restored.
