    Hello Sam,

apologies for contacting you, but I read that you owned and then sold a Albin Ballard to somebody in the Miami area. I wanted to ask if it was a 1877 model. I'm currently seriously considering buying one in the Miami area, it is a blue hull called Mandalay, but obviously that could have changed.

I'd love to hear from you, about this albin in particular, or in general about how an albin ballard fares as a Bahamas and Caribbean cruiser.

    All the best,

    Ruben Menke

    Hello Captain Sam,

Sometime end of November/December 2016 I should be heading down to your area. I have a 53' Hatteras I am looking to dock for a month or two, maybe longer depending on travel plans while I am down your way.

The point is if you are still renting your slip and is it available during that timeframe ?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi Sam -
I'm still around on occasion. New lady (Arlene) and new Mandolin (36' Solaris Sunstar catamaran). We're currently in the Bahamas at Great Exuma Island/Georgetown. We've been sort of stuck here since Ar fell and broke her shoulder. We almost went back to the states since we had to stay at a marina rather than have her try to climb in and out of the dinghy. Then some friends asked if we would house sit for a couple of weeks. That sounded like a good idea so we'll be here at least through June then we shall see.
What's up with you? I just saw this message today, I haven't always had internet recently.

    Hi Sam -
Just got back from the Exumas a week or so ago (9/6 now). Currently in Melbourne, going to park the boat on a mooring in St. Augustine for a month or so while I deal with some land based stuff, then who knows? Got to decide whether to keep the boat or sell it and get a cheap house. I'll be 68 in November and worry about how long I can do this stuff.
Sounds like you've been having quite a time.
Let me know if you get up this way. I may take the boat up to the Chesapeake to have some work done if I decide to keep her, and if so may head to the DR or Guatemala afterwards to find a cheap place to live.
    Stay well,
    Mike

    Hi Sam -
I'm Mike Porter, used to be Mike & Peri aboard the catamaran FreeStyle. Last year Peri informed me I was no longer necessary. Life sucks but it goes on.
I've just purchased a Cross 39R trimaran. It's in Virginia being worked on, hope to be back on the water by 8/31. I'm typing this in Rockledge, Fl. (near Cocoa) at some friends' house. Hope you are doing well.
I need some opening hatches - want to meet me in the middle of the state?
    Give me a call @ (386)983-1512.
Glad to hear you're still alive and kicking. We need to hoist a few and catch up.
    Mike
