From Papua to west-coast US/Canada

Hello sailors,

A non-flying Dutchman (43 years old) is traveling across the globe while avoiding airplanes (have never entered one). Only via land and sea; a nice way to travel. 25 months on route now, starting in the Netherlands across Europe and Asia up till the shores of the Pacific Ocean.

Currently at Papua island (Indonesia/PNG) and I would like to reach the west-coast of the USA/Canada by hitch hiking via supply boats and sailing yachts.

Although there is not a lot of “Papua” on this forum... In case you are planning to cross the Pacific (or a part) from here, or know someone about to undertake such passage or parts of it; I am available as crew and most willing to assist. I'm a quick learner (M. Sc. Applied Physics) with good service minded mentality, non-smoking nor drinking alcohol, a few weeks sailing experience and Dutch humor

Is it possible to make such crossing during, say, January to April, or would another period of the year be more successful?

Anyone offering a suggestion or other reply, thank you very much for your help.
