Crew for Key West to St Martin - January

Please reply by Private Message only.

January I am looking for a weather window to head from Key West to St Martin.
It's a difficult 1,200 nm passage upwind and up current and will probably be a motor/sail.

I am seeking Female crew, not delivery crew, not necessarily an experienced sailor as I can teach. Someone who is up for the adventure.

By the end of the passage the person will know how to reef and unreef by themselves, navigate, watchkeep and cook on a heeling boat.

You would need to pay for travel to Key West and from Saint Martin. If a non USA passport holder a B1B2 visa to travel into the USA without a return ticket. Proof of Funds to fly out of St Martin.

Be a non drug user and non smoker.

Be fun and intelligent.

This will not be the champagne sailing of downwind tropical excursions so the person does need to be fit.

You would need to be in Key West soon to wait for a weather window.

Passage time is about two weeks. Hopefully quicker

Apply by Private Message only, please.

Mark... have you considered going N of the Bahamas on the Southerlies and curving NE once clear till you pick up the N winds to ride till NNW of SMX... then hang a right and ride the trades down...
Its a tad longer in distance but winds are not on the nose.
Did it earlier this year...

Yes, for about half a second, and I am definitly going the way I am going.

I want to drop in on the Dominican Republic and see the whales off Silver Banks.

Could be leaving Friday the 11th. Perhaps be heading the more northerly route through the Bahamas as Boatman61 suggests.

Well, that passage is done like a dinner.

The ad can be removed.

Thanks all.
