Wooden Sailboat in Good Condition - Georgia

1957 CUSTOM BUILD ROUE 30, Restored Classic From Designer of Bluenose « Wooden Boat Rescue Foundation

she's worth putting on a railroad car and shipping her to northern climes where the wood isn't an issue.

pretty boat!

it's a lot cheaper to restore a boat that cost zero dollars to purchase.

it wouldn't be any worse than buying a boat for $85K and putting $50K into it.

For someone who might be wanting a wood boat (and there are those folks out there) this one just might be a nice fit and a great bargain. I hope it finds a home.

I have seen some really interesting free wooden boats on it. Both power and sail.

for those who love antiques and love wood and love to work on something and bring a project to life, this website is a great place to hang out. One never knows what will show up there.

Says save is pending, this is a good website to find a wooden boat that needs saving:

Good Luck.

I would be glad to give this boat a good home. I love the old classics. I am in your area and have a hydraulic trailer to pick it up with. What say ye.

I was pointing out a website and a boat on that site. Please see the link in post #1 and proceed from there.

Other boats are available.

Best of luck

granted that the wooden boats are maintenance hogs no matter where they are located - but the tropical waters have critters that eat the wood too.

or am I wrong? please feel free to flame away.

I'd love to hear a NEW argument on this forum instead of the usual hackneyed ones.

That's what I've heard too, as that wood and the tropics are not a good pair. The ones that I have seen were the mega classic yachts that have full time crew to keep it super perfect!!
