WANTED: 34-40 ft boat in need of minor-major -repair/refit for cruising the Caribbean

I am in the process of looking for my first yacht, I have a lot of experience in carpentry, mechanical aspect of engines, etc. What I don't know about sails/rigging etc. I hope to pick up fast. . . I am looking at an 86 hunter 34 and an 88 hunter 37 legend right now, I am looking for a tri-cabin layout, I am thinking of spending somwhere from 10k to 25k the boat itself. . . depending what needs to be done in repaired. . . If any of you know of a boat or have one that fits the description let me know. . . BTW, I don't mind sacraficing some of the quality/sea-worthyness for more of a newer design/bigger boat. . . i.e the hunters. . . thanks, Dustin

Aloha Dustin,
Check eBay Motors, Sailboat and then Sail Boat both items and description. You'll find what you want.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Hunter 34

I have a Hunter 34 available. It has two things you definitely need for the Bahamas. Shoal keel and a new engine with less than 300 hours on it. We are currently cruising and this is a very popular size boat. Send me a PM to talk more.

well, I am debating on a hunter 34 that needs major refit for 10k, an 89 hunter 37 legend for 25k that needs roller furling and boom and bottom job. . . but to answer your question, not yet
