LCD Display part number 31-702 $50

One of the happiest days of my life was when I threw the treatment system in the dumpster.

SailorHarry

I would be interested in the parts, but do you mind sharing with us the problems you had?
Thanks

Re: Raritan ElectroScan electronics

Hi, and thanks for the inquiry. Problems: the electronics are reliable. The main problem is the treatment system itself. When it works, it works as advertised. The problems that I had were the seals around the motor shafts failing and seizing on the shafts, which cannot be removed without removing the top of the treatment box. But, first you have to drain the treatment box unless you don't mind having raw sewage sloshing over you and the interior of your boat. The drain plug is on the side of the treatment box, about mid-way up from the bottom, which means (you guessed it: another crap shower when you unscrew the drain plug. After two "seal clearing" exercises I had enough and tore out the ElectroScan and carried the treatment box to the nearest dumpster. Hope this answers your question. I replaced the ElectroScan with a new holding tank.

The electronic parts are in storage in Jacksonville, Florida, and we expect to be there by late next week.

All the best,
Harry Hungate

Can you use the newer electronics an an older model ElectroSan?
Ours works great.
No problems at all..
I just don't like the old rotary dial.
Maybe if it's working good....
I shouldn't mess w/it eh?

Re: Raritan ElectroScan electronics

Sorry, but I don't know the answer (and really don't wish to know any more about ElectroScan etc.) You had best contact Raritan. And good luck, as they could not even tell me what concentration of muriatic acid to use to clean the electrodes. You can safely assume that I don't think much of Raritan.

Hi Paciflyer, of course I will send them to NZ! I have a Westpac account. We plan to fly to NZ in December, and can bring the parts then, but if you need them sooner let me know how you want them shipped.

Thanks,
Harry
