Prout Special 38 Catamaran - 2005

This beautiful Prout Sailing yacht is one of a kind. Previous owner specially designed the interior to include a better layout.
She is currently on a mooring in Gordon's Bay, South Africa and I will include 3 months mooring for free in the price (with an option to extend until I get my new yacht).

All lines go to the Cockpit, I have sailed her single handedly from Knysna to Gordon's Bay

Seaworthiness:
Category C (Valid until January 2016).
Registered for Max of 9 Persons.
Has been on the slip during 2014 (have photo's).

Sails:
Quantum Main Fully Battened Sail in stack pack and lazy jacks
Quantum Roller-furler Genoa – 120%
Schaefer Furling gear
(All items have been removed and serviced by North Sails - March 2015).

Engines:
Twin Yanmar 18 hp. sail drive + engines, Port engine = 680 hours; Starboard engine = 700 hours
Fully Serviced by Silverlake Marine +50 hours ago.
Diesel tanks: 2 x 150lt.
One engine does about 5-6kts, both together 8-9kts.
I worked it out at +/- 3ltr/hr for each motor running at that speed.

Layout:
She has 3 Double Bunks + 1 Single.
Large Saloon.
One heads + warm water system (shore or Port Engine).
Gas Stove (serviced Feb 2015)
Water tanks: 2 x 200ltr.

Tender:
Wildcat Inflatable Dingy with 5 hp Mariner motor.

Much, much more - email for additional information.

PS If you want to take her anywhere in the world, I would be glad to assist getting your feet under the table and help sail her for up to 2 weeks.

Re: Prout Special 38 Catamaran - 2005

Sorry, I see now that I forgot the price: $90,000.

The bow and transom extensions have additional foam in (added buoyancy) - makes her almost unsinkable (and yes, I know thats what they said about the Titanic).

She is all white now, this is the only photo's I have with me (some of the hull still blue).

Trimax - I really like the stern extensions. The boat looks very clean and I think a very good value.

I have friends looking for a cat like mine but are open to others and they are European so where they buy isn't a big deal. I must have missed it but I don't see a price for your boat.

Hi Trimax
I found it an interesting boat, whether you can send a maximum of photos possible, also the navigation area, galy pictures, and details of all electronics
