Curious who measured for the sail? I thought it may fit on my Tartan 34 but alas a tad too big. How much needs to be recut for your rig? What year Sabre 34? What boats do you think it might fit? Would be helpful to others willing to help find a buyer.

i measured, hence the reason its not the loft with egg in its face! I don't know if it will fit your boat. I mis measured a standard rig Sabre 34, Mark I. It certainly could be re cut, and if I don't get any interest in it I will have it done. I'd rather sell it and take my hit and buy anther sail. If it works for you, great, if its close, you may be good with a minor re cut. Your welcome to look and measure and decide for yourself.

I sail on Barnegat Bay as well in the Toms River/Island Heights area. Where do you keep your boat? How is the measurement wrong? Too short on the mast? Boom? Too long? Where is the error?

Re: Never used Dacron mainsail

OK... I was a bit bored and I like little challenges like this.

Here are a list of boats that are within 8 inches of the luff length and 6 inches on the foot.
The last two columns are the difference between your sail and their optimal dimensions.

Your mileage may vary..... Verify your own measurements....etc, etc.
I hope that the table doesn't get jumbled during the posting.

Code:
BOAT Luff	Foot	Luff Short inch	Foot Short inch
ISLANDER 36 39.3	12.8 1.6	3.6
GIB'SEA 372 39.4	12.8 2.8	3.6
IRWIN 38 MOD C 39.6	12.7 5.2	2.4
BENETEAU 35 SD 39.6	12.8 5.2	3.6
BENETEAU 1150 39.7	12.8 6.4	3.6
BENETEAU 35 39.7	12.8 6.4	3.6
BENETEAU 35 SD 39.7	12.8 6.4	3.6
BENETEAU 37.7 39.7	12.8 6.4	3.6
JEANNEAU 11.2 39.7	12.8 6.4	3.6
JEANNEAU 36.8 39.7	12.8 6.4	3.6
