No matter which kind of catamaran you find, figure you'll pay 20 to 30 thousand for transport setup and taxes.

Leopard 47 have the engines inside under a hatch inbetween the bedrooms in the hallway in each hull.
Not great for noise,heat,mess and smells.

You are right.I would rather have shaft drives though as sail drives require far more maintenance , they are fragile and susceptible to electrolysis and stray currents in many a marina and very expensive to repair when salt water gets in.If i had the choice....i would take the noise , heat , mess and smells over sail drives

I have a nice clean 2000 Leopard 45 Hull # 52... named 2 SUM.... This is a 4 berth and 4 head version with the galley table that drops and a cushion sets on top to easily sleep 10 or watch your favorite movie in comfort . Has 2 Yanmar 55 HP 4 cylinder diesels.
