For Sale: Don Allen Wind Wand trim tab self steering unit

Hi everyone! I figured I would see if any salty dogs here are interested , before I hit up Ebay and Craigslist.
It's a Don Allen Wind Wand trim tab gear…not much info on the web…..but it is most certainly a very nicely made unit. I took it off a wrecked 30ft. double ender…..and it is complete…EXCEPT for the wind vane part. An industrious sort could easily fashion something tother for this.
I was really hoping to use it on my new boat…but alas…..trim tab gears only work with outboard rudders…and I don't have one anymore. the trim tab and the rudder are approximately 4 ft. long each…making it 8 ft. HEAVY rudder…..
I'm looking to get $500. or a reasonable offer.
