For Sale: Classic 48' Trimaran for sale in California 26k

The boat cost 100 thousand dollars to make in 1963, and was made by racing sailboat designer Dean Kennedy. This 1963 48' Trimaran raced Newport to Ensenada in 1963 and is rated at 23 knots. I've removed the wooden mast, ordered and paid for a new aluminum one that is ready to be delivered. The boat is made with triple planked mahogany with a gel coat fiberglass, and the entire deck is made of beautiful teak. There are two state rooms. One queen size in the bow, and one full-size private room in the aft cabin. This is a one of a kind tri-maran with a kitchen (viking stove), glass front fridge, ice-maker and a microwave. It has plenty of head room in the mid cabin with a 6'4 ceiling.

There is a sink with hot running water, and a head with a Raritan Elegance electric toilet. Shore power works great with plenty of outlets available to keep all the fridge, microwave, lamps and water heater running. DC power runs throughout the boat providing power to lights in all of the cabins when at sea. There is an instrument panel and breaker switches that are installed, along with power switches that allow you to run multiple batteries for engine and house power.

FYI: The boat motor needs work and the mast needs to be installed.
