Thanks for the offer but I don't think I'd pay $300 for a used one, especially not knowing the age or working condition, as they are the most common cause of failure. I have found that they are available in the states for less then the UK at 350-400 so I'd go with a new one unless you reconsider your price. I think the most I'd pay for a used one would be 150.00.
In any case I appreciate the offer.

Oh yes, I think I sent him my control head last year and he replaced the LCD display, very reasonable. Thanks for the info I will check with him. I didn't think of him for the motor repair but it's worth a shot.

The first one was right as he was in my contacts and he did replace my LCD last year and did a fantastic job. He replaced the LCD and repaired a crack in the back of the housing and included a new wire from control head to computer and if I remember the cost was under $100 and he included shipping, a good man to know.
And by the way he also has what I need for a fraction of other prices I was getting. Thank you very very much for reminding me about Dan.

The magnets came lose from inside the housing and two were broken and its' a shame because the rest of the motor/armature works fine but it seems impossible to find new magnets, and how to place them correctly is another concern.
I don't like spending that kind of money but unless I can find a used one, working or not working, to use as parts I'll have to spring for a new one.

Where are you in New York?

When magnets are broken they create a new North and South along the break and that will mess up the motor.

Thanks, I thought the broken magnet may have been the problem, or I just arranged them wrong, but that makes sense. I did find a very reasonable used one so we'll see how that works. Thanks.
