'08 Beneteau Oceanis 43' - in Med - VAT Paid

Description:
LOA: 13.10m LWL: 12.75m BEAM: 4.12m DRAFT: 2.00m DISP: 8875KG
Air Draft: 18.3m

The Hull and deck plan are the work of the Berret Racoupeau design office. Their designs have led to the creation of an aesthetically powerful and attractive yacht with remarkable sea keeping qualities. The interior architecture and design are by Nauta Design. This great Italian name, a bench mark in the super yacht world, has helped the Oceanis 43 achieve her true personality; one of contemporary lines where luminosity, comfort and well being take precedence on board. It is the perfect 2 cabin, 2 head boat!

Construction:
The hull is of single-skinned GRP construction. Local areas of reinforcement (keel rudder, chainplates and hull/deck joint) serve to strengthen the structure. A single-skinned structural inner moulding is bonded and laminated to the hull. Its structural role is important as it takes and absorbs the stresses as pressure points (chainplates, tie rods, keel, rudder, etc) ensuring their distribution and so guaranteeing reduced strain on the hull. The surface of the inner moulding makes cleaning easier and provides better finish. The deck is of fiberglass and balsa sandwich construction for optimum strength/weight ratio as well as excellent heat and sound insulation. All working areas and areas of movement around the deck are provided with non-slip “diamond point” finish. Fin Keel attached via a system of screws and stainless steel backing plates and also by bonding. Underhung counter balanced rudder with stainless steel stock. Steering via twin helms and 2 leather five spoke wheels. Metal cable transmission. Deck access point for emergency steering and emergency tiller.

Configuration:
This Oceanis 43 is a 2 cabin / 2 head layout with the owner’s cabin forward. Its large V berth with storage below, hanging locker and storage to port with an en-suite head/shower to starboard. The main saloon features a large U shaped dinette starboard and a straight settee to port with aft facing chart table.*Saloon berth conversion option. The L shaped galley is to port at the base of the companionway and across to starboard is the aft head with separate shower stall. The aft cabin has a large double berth, hanging locker with shelves and storage outboard. Saloon head/shower also accessible from aft cabin. Galley with double sink, 2 burner gas cooker with oven and grill plus 130 l Fridge with 70 l icebox. A flat screen TV is on the starboard forward bulkhead of the main salon.

Land & Family issues that I thought were settled before purchase/cast off (which actually delayed plans several years) have risen again. So my attention for the short term will go there.........then if/when I resume I will look west into the Pacific.

My Loss is someone's opportunity .....

Re: '08 Beneteau Oceanis 43' - in Med - VAT Paid

She looks very nice. I am interested. I'm assuming there is no spray hood or Bimini. Am I correct?
Also, what is the country of registration?

Hi John:
Thanks for inquiry.

Spray Hood aka Dodger = Yes, as noted in notes above under Deck and Hull
"Navy Blue Dodger"
also shown in cockpit picture above (in the background)****

Bimini = NO..... You are correct - it was on the list to add for 2012.

Country of Registration = noted in notes above under add'l comments
USA Flagged / USCG Documented however the VAT has been paid in EU

I You have any add'l questions, pls do not hesitate to ask via thread, PM or I can also PM my e-mail address & Phone number.

Thanks again for the inquiry

***** Bimini = There is a very attractive design that minimizes the number of deck struts (allowing easier movement & less obstructions) and incorporates the back stays (indirectly) that I've seen on a number of Beneteaus. The yard in Turkey is able to replicate (there is a B37 with exact design in the yard) and install one at a very reasonable cost
