Opencpn.org - crashed

It seems that the opencpn.org site has crashed:

Code:
Warning: Table './will_ocpn/users' is marked as crashed and should be repaired query: SELECT u.*, s.* FROM users u INNER JOIN sessions s ON u.uid = s.uid WHERE s.sid = '29f922e6f03f141d1941c5754863cf09' in /home/will/drupal-6.37/includes/database.mysqli.inc on line 134

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/will/drupal-6.37/includes/database.mysqli.inc:134) in /home/will/drupal-6.37/includes/bootstrap.inc on line 1172
Maybe time to upgrade from drupal 6-37 ??
As of February 24, 2016, Drupal 6 has reached end-of-life and will no longer be supported. If you are starting a new Drupal website, you should download a newer version.
The final Drupal 6 security release is Drupal 6.38. Upgrading sites running 6.37 and lower is recommended.

Re: Opencpn.org - crashed

It does need an upgrade to 6.38 for security reasons. The patch came out last week. And also an eventual move to Drupal 8 would be a good idea.

That being said, right now there are two things that might need to be done:

1. Check whether the server has any disk space left.
2. Repair the table: mysql - Table is marked as crashed and should be repaired - Database Administrators Stack Exchange

And if it could be upgraded that would be good. Perhaps the editing dashboard is better and upload of files easier for editors.

Current version of Drupal is 8.05 so the version running opencpn.org is quite old

Re: Opencpn.org - crashed

If the maintainer of the site is not available I can try to help with resurrecting the site. Have some Drupal/MySQL experience.

Very nice offer. Dietmar. Will Kamp mx mariner hosts the website. I am finding it difficult to remove goodharbor in hopes it might revive. Iam sorry that happened!

Re: Opencpn.org - crashed

Thanks Rick. Well, looks like OpenCPN site is up without me.

BTW, my name is Dmitry. I know, it sounds very close to Dietmar. Think of it this way, Dietmar is the CEO of Good Anchorage, a mariner, and the one who sued me and lost the case. I'm the former CIO, a techie who wrote code for GoodAnchorage website, some parts of the plugin, and kicked Dietmar's ass in court. Hope this helps. ;-)

Don't know what Dietmar's plans are with regards to GA. I'm certainly not getting involved in that project again.

Dmitry, sorry about that. I thought you'd changed you pseudo name here on the forum. I sympathize and fully understand why you wouldn't work with them. Perhaps your talents can help us with opencpn? Between paying jobs of course!

Re: Opencpn.org - crashed

Sure Rick. My knowledge of C++ is only mediocre -- hacking it together, but when it comes web backend and databases I can help. At my work we are doing a port from Drupal 6 to 8. Perhaps this will come in handy for OpenCPN.
