Opencpn nav. software

Have just downloaded the newest version of Opencpn. On the charts i have loaded into my computer i'm not seeing any text on the maps. IE city names, marinas, etc. What do i have to install to see this information?

Re: Opencpn nav. software

Click on the "Gear" symbol to open the "Options" menu. Select "Charts" and the "Vector Chart Display" tab. Remove the checkmark before "Important Text Only".

While Important Text Only is enabled, only important text such as clearance under a bridge is shown on the chart, and less important text such as names are not shown.

When the "Important Text Only" is NOT specified, there are several text settings that may be selected on the "Chart Panel Options" menu that opens when the bottom-right "Hamburger" (menu symbol) is clicked.

Have you tried hitting the 'T' key to toggle the text on and off?
