OpenCPN installation problem on Ubuntu

Hello,

I have a new computer with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32 bits..

So I downloaded the file:
Download OpenCPN from SourceForge.net

But when I do
sudo dpkg -i opencpn_3.2.2-1_i386.deb

I've got this error message:
"The packet libgl1-mesa-glx is not installed. "

So I installed it and it worked.. but when I did a reboot, the computer was blocked at the Ubuntu logo.. So I had to reboot in recovery mode and install xorg and then reboot.. After I installed xserver-xorg-lts-quantal ..

I tried another installation of openCPN and I had the same problem again..

It's not my first installation of openCPN on Ubuntu, so I don't understand why I have this problem.. Do you have a clue?

Re: OpenCPN installation problem on Ubuntu

But if I do this
dpkg -S libgl1-mesa-glx
libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal: /usr/share/lintian/overrides/libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal
libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal: /usr/share/doc/libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal/copyright
libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal: /usr/share/doc/libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal/changelog.Debian.gz
libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal: /usr/share/bug/libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal/control
libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal: /usr/share/doc/libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal
libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal: /usr/share/bug/libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal
libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal: /usr/share/bug/libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal/script

You can see I have libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal instead.. My version of Ubuntu is 12.04.03... Do you think the issue could be caused by an update?

Re: OpenCPN installation problem on Ubuntu

Well, so I did a
sudo apt-get remove libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal

and then
sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-glx

And it works.. I don't why I had a quantal version because it's a fresh installation..
