Ah but you did see something and knew right away that it was a weather change..... anyway, a good challenge for any skipper to wake up and try to quickly figure out what's wrong

There are a few places on the SF Bay where you can get out from behind a wind shadow like Alcatraz or Angel Island and the wind can go from a few knots to 35 knots in a matter of less than a minute. This is pretty typical in the summer. This of course has nothing to do with the weather and all to do with geography.

OK, lets get pedantic here (but all in fun - no offense meant). I saw "nothing" and made an interpretation that this meant "something".
