Which autopilot for a 10m racer cruiser?

I am considering all systems:
- on Deck systems worry me as they are unsightly and in the way.
- Below deck systems worry me as they consume a great deal of energy.
- Wind vein options are unsightly and in the way.

Can on deck systems be easily dismantled and stored away when not being used?

I have a below decks Alpha 3000 - prefect love it. Nothing's perfect, but this onecomes close for many reasons. My fav reason is that the headings are set by a large rotary dial - very intuitive. I had the punch in 1 or 10 deg port or starboard types which you need to look at some hard to read LCD display. ICK
