So, how many GPS's gave you got?

I was surprised when I added them up.

Plotter1
Plotter2
AIS transponder sharing an antenna with
An old chart table GPS
IPhone
IPad
Life raft GPS hand held
VHF DSC radio with GPS
GPS EPIRB
GPS PLB
Sat phone with GPS

That's 11 if I can add up. Ridiculous! Have I won this game?

I seriously doubt it. My problem is remembering them all.

2 active chart plotters + 1 backup = 3
3 hockey puck USB
3 Android phones
2 EPIRBs
2 handheld
1 Airmar weather sensor

There's 14 without even trying too hard.

You're off the chart. And before anyone quips, I think cruise ships with 4000 smart phone users don't count.

Re: So, how many GPS's have you got?

1 Lowrance handheld (old; $15 at a flea market) modified for boat power and to push position data to the VHF
1 handheld Garmin etrex Vista ($100 from ebay) the standby unit
1 USB GPS fob ($35) for the laptop
1 Android 8" tablet
1 Android phone

I suppose I could count my wife's iPad and iPhone, but they are most certainly not mine

Six. Had seven until a hand held went for a swim while I was boarding from the dinghy a couple months ago.

Hmm... interesting question.

iPad chartplotter with Navionics and Garmin BlueChart
iPhone 6 with Navionics and Garmin BlueChart
Furuno radar
VHF in dash
VHF handheld
EPIRB

Guess I'm the lightweight in the bunch.

Re: So, how many GPS's gave you got?

Humm... I indicated 6 but if one includes GPEPIRB's then it would be 8. Geez, even my watch (Quatrix) has a GPS and with our routes stored, will give me range and bearing to our next waypoint as we travel.

Re: So, how many GPS's gave you got?

My first thought was 3, but when I add them all up it's 12:

Plotter
Back-up plotter
AIS
VHF
Handheld VHF
4 MOB-1 PLBs
My phone
Work phone
iPad

When my wife and 2 of the kids are on board, with their phones it jumps to 16. That's crazy!
