Paddle Wheel transducer

Before I embark on my mission of destruction, has anyone opened up the Airmar/Raymarine speed/temperature transducer. I have one where the Thermister has gone low. If I can find it, replacement should be easy. To do this I would cut the tube in half and reassemble with an adhesive and internal sleeve.

Is temperature really that important? Good luck.

Funny - I feel exactly the same way about my boat - if its installed it should be serviceable. Otherwise bugs the hell outta me.

Sitting with a pin picking out resin to find something you don't know exactly where it is.... Goodbye transducer.....
