St. Augustine Paddle Wheel Boat
I believe her name is Jean Mary, and she is from St. Augustine. She has been berthed behind me in Green Cove Springs since winter. She has been listing all this time from port to strbrd, and back again. Finally she sank last night. Causing a huge spill of fuel. I woke up with police, firemen, and water sheriff's all over the place. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me. It was a very sad sight to see her laying there on her side like that!

Last night when I arrived at the marina. There was a huge barge with a huge crane on the barge. The has already set straps under, and in a few minutes she was in the slings. Then towed slowly behind the barge to a work area in another part of the marina.
I was also told that she had been recently sold, and was going to leave the dock this past Monday. Looks like she will be brought back to life soon.

It appears there was some problem with the hull, and is off getting corrected.

I read that it was surveyed before the recent sale to Debbie Reynolds. From what I read the hull was weak.

imagine2frolic - any new information on that sunk paddlewheeler Jean Mary?? I was considering it as a spectacular liveaboard, but the sinking makes it a different situation. ... What can you tell me about it?? Thanks Joe
