Jrc radar wiring

Hi all

The above radar came with the boat I recently bought, unfortunately it has been cut from the head unit as it was on the mizzen which the previous owner removed. The cord going into the unit was also disconnecteded but I managed to find where all the plugs go easily except the one that's can see sticking out in the photo. It is from the silver foil wire type stuff around the main wire and I am gussing it's an earth wire? Only problem is I'm not sure where to put it. Any ideas????

Re: Jrc radar wiring

You will notice it's for a larger bolt, look and see if any bolts are loose
If not your right it's a ground and you won't go wrong
Attach the ground wire and the wire clip holder at the same location on the scanners ground

Re: Jrc radar wiring

Earth or shielding wire, attach to metal casing inside the dome. Often times ground and earth/shield are separated via ferrite to isolate ground loops.
