Furuno AP pump disassembly

Can I remove the electric motor from a type 2 pump without hydraulic fluid leaking. The case of my motor is slightly loose and the screws come from the shaft side and screw through and into the end plate. Can't get at screw heads to tighten without separating it from the pump head. There is an aluminum plate attached to motor between it and pump I didn't know if there is any seal there. Otherwise I should be able to remove motor tighten the case screws and reassemble. Just don't want a surprise mess on my hands. I would assume the two are separate but you know what happens when you assume.
Thanks
Mike

Re: Furuno AP pump disassembly

Sorry I can't help you but it looks to be an Accu-Steer pump so if Furuno doesn't get back to you maybe Accu-Steer can help.
