Best Purchasing for Marine Electronics

Hi All,
Im in the process of completing a 14m aluminium sloop and hope to launch her in early 2011. I've delayed decisions and purchases of all the on-board navigation and other electronics until late in the building process, but now intend to buy the equipment later in 2010. Im seeking guidance on which country offers the most competetive international prices. I live in Hobart, Australia, and travel a lot with my current job and so can purchase the gear from quite a range of locations (or of course on-line). I know that some years ago Argentina had a reputation of very good prices on maine electronics.
Is anyone able to provide some guidance on this please.
