Where Were You at 6pm, er, 1800 hours?

Perhaps this should be under "Sailor's Confessional," or "Destinations," but thought it might be interesting to communally note where we were while waiting (or not) for the Rapture.

Myself, bellied up to the bar at South Beach YC, San Francisco (and then later the Bay View Boat Club), looking out onto perfectly enticing, sunny South Bay watersv, winds about 10 to 12 kts. Drink at the time: Guinness.

Best,
Lorenzo

A friends 47th Birthday party in Portugal eating Chanfana, salad and Broa accompanied by a palatable red wine....
But then... a thought.. what time did the Eruption in Iceland begin....
Could that be the 'Begining of the End'.....

Not certain the exact time of eruption; but:
“... Iceland's air traffic control operator ISAVIA said the Keflavik airport, the country's main hub, closed down at 0830 GMT (4:30 a.m. EDT) for the day ...”

Icelandic volcano flings up ash, shuts airport - Yahoo! News
REYKJAVIK, Iceland – Iceland closed its main international airport and canceled all domestic flights Sunday as a powerful volcanic eruption sent a plume of ash, smoke and steam 12 miles (20 kilometers) into the air.
The eruption of the Grimsvotn volcano was far larger than one a year ago at another Icelandic volcano that upended travel plans for 10 million people around the world, but scientists said it was unlikely to have the same widespread effect.
University of Iceland geophysicist Magnus Tumi Gudmundsson said this eruption, which began Saturday, was Grimsvotn's largest eruption for 100 years.
"(It was) much bigger and more intensive than Eyjafjallajokull," the volcano whose April 2010 eruption shut down airspace across Europe for five days, he said.
"There is a very large area in southeast Iceland where there is almost total darkness and heavy fall of ash," he said. "But it is not spreading nearly as much. The winds are not as strong as they were in Eyjafjallajokull."
He said this ash is coarser than last year's eruption, falling to the ground more quickly instead of floating vast distances.
The ash plunged areas near the volcano in southeast Iceland into darkness Sunday and covered buildings, cars and fields in a thick layer of gray soot. Civil protection workers urged residents to wear masks and stay indoors.

Going back to the 'Prophet' however...... it was amusing listening to 'followers' comments on the News today... and the reports that he's disappeared...

Anchored in one of my favorite end of the world/hurricane holes. Seems to have worked pretty well even though I used an old Bruce no snubber. I was thinking I didn't want to be to attached to something that was going end.

Ok, but the question is: Where were you?"

Re: Where Were You at 6pm, er, 1800 hours?

Was Rouse's Gocery Store... A new opened a few days ago down the street from my office...
Nothing unusual happened.
No One ascended to heaven.
No One decended to Hell.
Just normal every day events... But the Michigan University women's Softball team in the 5th inning came from 5 runs down to even the score, in the 6th they scored another run and beat the Norte Dame Irish team.
Otherwise a normal day

Sounds like "the last supper", were you expecting something

Still, if its going to happen being around friends with great food and wine is probably a good way to go.

I was at home on the boat, relaxing, and watching Dr. Who.

The next Rapture date has already been set by The World Atheist Council - Sept 19th.

The WAC predict (and guarantee) that.............nothing at all will happen

Having an Armageddon BBQ replete with apocamole and 'Foretaste of things to come' salsa. We asked people to show up early, didn't want them going to judgement hungry.
