Ex-Calif? Hi folks. Life took a wicked twist in October of 2014. My expat contract ended and I was told I had 60 days to find a job. That sucked but worked out awesome. Ended up in Cincinnati Ohio in March of 2015. I joined a local lake sailing club but haven't been super active yet other than a bit of crewing - New hobby is classic MGs... Thinking about buying a dinghy just for laughs.

October 2014 I really had to step on the gas to finish the refit on Relax Lah. My brother and his wife made two multi week trips to help and I could never have done it without them. Of course it is totally ironic that the boat got finished after 2 years on the hard only when I had to leave. Such is boats. We did get to launch her and sail her a bit prior to my departure.

I never got done some of the projects I wanted to do but it came out pretty nice. New paint topsides, completely gutted and rewired interior. New cabinets throughout including repositioning the head to the port side and adding a built in cooler. Shameless plug for some items in the classifieds - new quality stuff in the box - spread the word.

Relax Lah! did not sell prior to my departure but she sold a couple months later. I was fortunate to get top dollar for a Singapore Maxi and went back to close the deal and do the delivery. With the refit costs I broke even on the boat - actually I made money but that's another story.
