Re: What do you do?

ATC has the right idea. The guy might be the worst A$$hole on the dock. But when he needs help, you offer it. If he doesn't take it , well, $crew' em. O, by the way, how far can you guys throw a coiled line. When's the last time you checked?

Re: What do you do?

Yes, try to help but doesn't mean getting too close unless you can get control of the situation. No way I'm going near him with a rubber dingy. If he guns the engine, it will get ugly.

This was just a guy who didn't know what he was doing and got frustrated. With the wind it should have been easy to back into the slip but he didn't know what he was doing.

Re: What do you do?

Why did they not try to manhandle it very slow along pilings and boats?
Possibly with lots of fenders.

One should never ever afraid to ask for help.

My cat had one engine off centre when I bought it.
Was a pain to handle and the previous owner had a good phrase when Ieft port:

"If in doubt aim for something CHEAP!".

Wise words indeed.

Btw. I fitted a second engine..
