Freight Cost

Hi all, I am new to this forum and I am trying to for-fill a lifetime ambition owning a yacht,
My question could anybody tell me how much I would have to pay in freight to bring a 15m yacht from the North Island in NZ to Brisbane by ship as I do not have the time at the moment to sail it here.
thanks
Perry

Re: Freight Cost

We recently shipped our 16 m yacht from the UK to Seattle and it cost a bomb. You need to contact one of the yacht shipping companies that has a route going from NZ to OZ and see how it would work for you. The sailings are infrequent and they may only take you to Sydney or some other place than Brisbane. Send an email asking about their routes to Dockwise, Sevenstar or try the agents Peters and May.

And you will need to skip lunch for about 5 years to pay for it!

Re: Freight Cost

Why not contact some shipping agents directly? That's what I did to determine cost and contract for shipment of my boat from China to California.
