Insurance Companies with Contact Info

I'm currently exploring buying a boat and trying to explore all the what ifs and "gotchas", including insurance companies. I've heard about IMIS but can't seem to get their website to come up properly (http://www.imiscorp.net/)? Could some of you who've been in this awhile post the company names and phone numbers, along with a personal contact/broker that you've dealt with that you like and have had a good experience with? I've also heard that a lot of insurance companies won't insure older boats or even catamarans; what's the age cut off point that I should be considering when buying a boat and who insures cats? Thanks.
