Re: Boat insurance

IMIS Home Page ~ International Marine Insurance Services

Try Al Golden and company at IMIS. Old time professionals, who may not be the cheapest, but won't try to rob you with policy exclusions and secretes either. If you get a better quote from your car or home insurer, they'll also be glad to compare the details and tell you what is missing. (Like wreck removal, or environmental costs, or "we only pay if you sink on weekdays".)

Your boat, your experience and training, the number of crew, that and more, all will affect the quote.

Re: Boat insurance

Ive used ORM (Offshore Risk Management) for about 5 years now and been pleased with them.

Search the threads here too...a number of existing discussions of this subject.

While in USA waters, companies like Boat US may provide the best rates.

Re: Boat insurance

IMIS was in fact the least expensive and best coverage of the 1/2 dozen quotes I got, and Susan Waters took SusanW.IMIS@gmail.com good care of us in the process.

Re: Boat insurance

I send my clients to Liz Childs at Jack Martin Insurance. Haven't heard of any one of them disappointed. She covers my boat as well...
