Re: Sea Sickness Thread....Again

Mark J is right in suggesting you see a doctor, not just an ENT but have everything evaluated since you say you are getting worse. Your apprehension could be leading to panic attacks brought on by arrhythmia. Diabetes and other ills can also create a feeling of dread/nausea. Take care of YOU because your fellow forum-ites care.

Re: Sea Sickness Thread....Again

This really worked for me. Do not say it will work for others. I am very sensitive to medications - and drugs. Try to stay away from both. I was really sea sick for a long time, but a friend introduced me to an obstetrician in Honolulu who used hypnosis for morning sickness with his patients. I took two sessions of hypnosis with him and that did the trick. Two days later, heading out Kauai Passage, I was cooking up lunch while my two fellow sailors were tossing [up] theirs over the side. Don't even think about some side show guy. Find a medic who uses it regularly. Worked for me, anyhow. Permanently. Been happily sailing ever since.
