A little bit of flotation can do a whole LOT of good.

Re: Saved by ‘Wilson’

It actually doesn't take much floatation. One survival technique is to scoop up some air in your shirt. It will stay there for a little while then you scoop up some more. There was a story from back in the Gulf War where a crewman fell off a Navy ship and stayed afloat several days that way. He was picked up by a local fishing boat and escaped pretty much uninjured.

Trousers work much better..
Tie a Knot at the bottom of each leg and scoop over your head to inflate the legs.

It wouldn't work nowadays.
Everyone knows that that the truly stylish only wear jeans with multiple holes in the legs! Therefore the legs won't hold air, and the users will drown . . . . Only YOU can decide if that is a good thing, or a bad thing!

Re: Saved by ‘Wilson’

A Long Island, N Y (offshore) commercial fisherman who fell off his boat filled his boots with air, turned them upside down and tucked them under his arms. He was eventually found sitting on a buoy.
